The Civic Centre, while not to everyones taste, is a landmark structure on the Plymouth skyline. It is just one of the many examples of postwar architecture which is under threat in the city, thanks to the blinkered attitiudes of the City Council. While Le Havre (the nearest French eqiuvalent) is a World Heritage Site, Plymouth is being turned into a building site and cash cow for developers.
