We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Improve awareness and stimulate research of Sarcoidosis amongst the medical community and public alike to stop misdiagnosis and unnecessary surgery including organ removal due to the aforementioned misdiagnosis. More details

Sarcoidosis symptoms are frequently ignored or misdiagnosed as cancer - even unnecessary organ removal. Symptoms depend on which organs are affected but usually include tiredness, fever & fatigue, feel extremely tired physically, mentally or emotionally.
Most common organs affected are Lungs with a cough & breathlessness. Heart can become enlarged & weak. This leads to cardiomyopathy. In the nervous system it can mean weakness, numbness, pins & needles. Brain & meninges can be affected causing headaches, numb skin & weak muscles. Can raise calcium levels in blood can lead to kidney stones. Liver & spleen may become enlarged.
Large tender lumps on shins (erythema nodosum). Small nodules or papules on skin or raised rash (lupus pernio) affects your nose & cheeks. Lymph glands become swollen. Can make eyes red, dry, painful & very sensitive to light. You can get pain in any joint - frequently knees & ankles, often associated with erythema nodosum.
