We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to "Ensure significantly large differences in the cost of vehicle excise duty between low-emission cars and vehicles that emit large amounts of carbon dioxide are brought in at the next budget. This would follow the lead by the Mayor of London and Richmond Council who are effectively applying the 'polluter pays' principle to give clear rewards to those who choose cleaner cars and penalties to those who don't.".
