Stop giving or reduce amounts given in winter fuel payments to the over 60's that are still in paid employment and earning over £20,000 a year each (and do not have any under 60's disabled and/or non earning student or child dependants at home) or if earning less, but can comfortable afford it from other investments, and those leaving UK to holiday overseas in warmer countries for the winter months (short break holiday does not count) so that it can be given to vulnerable freezing disabled people on DLA and those with conditions where they suffer with the effects of the cold as their own bodies can't regulate body temperature , so need to heat their homes to remain well, safe and warm enough as they require it and not be forced to choosee, between heating or eating, Also increase the payment to the most vunrable elderly groups , under 60's on higher rate DLA disabled so amount covers either 1/3rd of total years fuel bill or all colder months bill which ever is greater amount. Cold disabled people need the money way more than a wealthy working possibly fit, 60 year old, stop letting valuble disabled people risk dying of cold, they too need lifting out of poverty, as not all on DLA have spare money when the mobility part is used on mobility and the care is used to pay for carers.. then focus on other vulnerable groups needsE Millard 2 March 201034
