The British Government is discussing abolishing the Ancestry Visa for Commonwealth Citizens as part of the process of introducing a points-based system for work permits and tougher rules for obtaining citizenship. At a time when unlimited numbers of Europeans are freely allowed to enter and work in the UK, it is grossly unfair that many descendants of British Citizens could be denied the opportunity to live and work in the UK.
