More details from petition creator

For reasons unknown to the rest of us, the open source movement has seen fit to create a petition that will hold back the release of the BBC iPlayer while the BBC create versions of the player for other platforms.

This is unnacceptable, punishing the majority of users for using Windows XP so the minority can have the release at the same time of us does not make any sense at all.

We therefore petition that the BBC take no heed to these people and release a version of the iPlayer now so the majority of us can enjoy TV online in peace.
