Under the DPA any organisation that holds data on people have to release that data to the individual and correct any inaccuracies. Credit Reference Agencies and in particular Experian charge people to access data held on them and deny liability when that data is shown to be inaccurate. I wish the provisions of the DPA enforced against Credit Reference Agencies with vigour as their mistakes can cause untold misery to innocent people.
