the people of east yorkshire campaigned to get rid of the name humberside and after a lot of hard work by the people of east yorkshire we got our name reverted back to east riding of yorkshire but still to this day most of our post still comes with our address as being in humberside.this no longer exists and we find it insulting as east yorkshire people to receive mail still saying we are in humberside.our police and fire brigade are still called the humberside force , we are in east yorkshire the police and fire should be proud to call themselves east riding of yorkshire police and east riding of yorkshire fire brigade no matter what the cost ,we are asking the prime minister and his government to look at this and give us our name that so many people campaigned tirelessly to get back.
