Childminders are now expected to meet the same standards of care and education as day nurseries but do not have access to the same levels of funding for resources, training and equipment that other day care settings receive.
We would like the Prime Minister to recognise the excellent service that established childminders offer by providing them funding equal to that provided to Nurseries and other private day care settings.
This funding must be nationwide and accessible for all childminders to ensure that they can meet the needs of the families that they work with.
