More details from petition creator

The government currently allows buy-to-let investors to benefit from tax relief on mortgage interest payments, letting agency costs and maintenance expenses.

In the light of the current housing situation, we believe that it would be a responsible move on behalf of the government to reduce such incentives for buy-to-let investors, and instead to provide assistance to first-time buyers to help them to get onto the property ladder.
