More details from petition creator

Many of the old railway in this country were ripped up in the 1960s and 1970s and subsequently built upon. This has had the result of preventing the re-opening of railway routes that could today be viable and help reduce congestion on other routes as well as on road. A good example would be the case of the former route to Didcot, via Winchester Chesil and Newbury.
