Ofcom is consulting on a proposal to charge for VHF radio spectrum use. LOWLAND SAR teams are voluntary charities whose funds are raised from public donation. The potential cost of the radio licences will threaten the existence of these vital emergency services.

We urge OFCOM to reject this proposal.
