95% of more than 11,000 respondents in a public vote opposed the plan for GM crops - such as potatoes, oil seed rape and sugar beet - yet the Government is still going ahead. Pollen from these crops will be carried by wind and insects to pollute other cultivated & wild plants, changing the countryside for ever.
