I believe the current guidelines for sentencing child abusers is GROSSLY UNJUST for young vulnerable victims. I believe the minimum sentence for physically abusing a child should be set at a MINIMUM of 15 years as opposed to the current 5-9 years custodial sentence (with a maximum of 10 years) for serious cruelty or long term neglect that is currently in place.
