This government's skewed and unfair efforts at devolution have created a massive democratic deficit in that unlike the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish, the people of England have no parliament to administer their own internal affairs.
The attempt to fob the English off with regional assemblies was massively rejected despite an immense effort to convince the voters to accept them. We believe that this was because the English wish to have equality with their Scottish, Welsh and Ulster neighbours.
We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to introduce legislation that will allow the English to decide whether they wish to have their own parliament with the power to administer the internal affairs of England.
