We believe that: -
/ Dog ownership is an important part of the British psyche and should be encouraged.
/ Approximately one third of the population are Dog owners and the majority of them are responsible.
/ It is vital to sometimes exercise dogs off- lead, not to do so is cruel.
/Dogs have been exercised in the forest for hundreds of years.
/ Dogs play a considerable part in National life, eg, Sniffer dogs, Guide dogs etc. and they are widely believed to have therapeutic qualities.
/ The formation of a National Park is intended to improve the facilities for the whole population. It was not meant to be an expensive, dictatorial, bureaucracy introducing more and more restrictions.
