The Metropolitan Line currently runs to Cassionbury Park on Watfords Outskirts. TfL has a costed plan to divert some / all services East from Croxley and onto the disused rail line to Watford High ST, dual tracking it and linking up West Watford. Given the need for Watford FC to expand and the towns growing population, it is an idea whose time has come.
