If you are doing family research anyone can access records both online and at Kew for any census records from 1841 to 1901 and military/wills etc but if you want to look at BMD you have to buy every certificate @ £7 each. If the Data Protection Act only covers personal details up to 100 years why not allow access to those certificates? But you can BUY a certificate for anyone born/married/died up to 2007. Cash Cow now thousands doing research?
