Whilst additional public holidays is a good idea. A public holiday in february does not seem a good idea.
I don't see why Darwin is any more deserving of a day than many other historical figures.
Oh, and in the pro-Darwin Day petition they mistakenly named St Patrick's Day as a UK public holiday.
