We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to 'ensure a change in the Race Relations Law'. More details
Submitted by ELizabeth Obisanya of BAN SECTION 19C RRA – Deadline to sign up by: 19 October 2008 – Signatures: 10
Section 19C exempts courts and employment tribunals from the dictates of the Race Relations Act 1976
The exceptions are ‘not needed’in safeguarding the nation as there are now Anti Terror measures in place.
The exception undermines the good intentions of the Race Relations (Amendment)Act 2000 & are not in keeping with
(i)Our Confirmation of Liberties ( Magna Carter 1297(c9) :- “FIRST, We have granted to God.,. We have granted also, and given to all the Freemen of our Realm, for Us and our Heirs for ever, these Liberties under-written, to have and to hold to them and their Heirs, of Us and our Heirs for ever.” & (ii) The Spirit of the Articles 1,2,3,7,8 and 10 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948. ( Mainly right to a fair trial)
We the Petitioners humbly ask the Prime minister to ensure an introduction of legislation to bring the judiciary and tribunals within the scope of Section 19B of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000.
